XingMP3 Player
--------------
AudioCatalyst now comes with the XingMP3 Player. The XingMP3 Player provides MP3 playback capabilities for MPEG-1 and MPEG-2, layer 3 audio files. The Player includes a Play List Editor that allows you to save your favorite music as customized Play Lists. For more information, see the online Help that comes with the XingMP3 Player.
Your Choice of MP3 Players
--------------------------
AudioCatalyst lets you choose your favorite MP3 Player for use within the AudioCatalyst program. See Choosing Your MP3 Player in the online Help for more information.
Stereo Channel Modes
--------------------
To create the highest quality Stereo MP3 file, the XingMP3 Encoder always uses Stereo (mode 1) as the default Stereo Channel Mode at bitrates 112k and below. See Understanding Stereo Channel Modes in the online Help for important Stereo Channel Mode information.
Advanced Options
----------------
The XingMP3 Encoder Settings dialog now includes an Advanced Options tab. From the Advanced Options dialog, you can allow the encoder to Choose the Best Sample Rate, enable High Frequency encoding, set the Copyright Bit, set the Original Bit, and Force Simple Stereo settings for higher bitrates. For more information on each of these Advanced settings, see Advanced Options in the online Help.
Analog Ripping
--------------
AudioCatalyst now includes an option to rip your CD's using an analog ripping method. The analog method rips the tracks from your CD as analog data and sends them to your sound card where they are converted to digital audio. For more information, see Understanding Analog CD-ROM Access Method in the online Help.
